Test results for the samples taken on 11-11-10 have been received. Samples were collect by Emerald Coast Surfrider members at the following locations: Panama City Pier Park, Blue Mountain Beach, Miramar Beach and Okaloosa Pier and analyzed for the dispersant ingredients Propylene glycol and 2-Butoxyethanol. Neither component was detected in any of the samples. However, the lab did have some trouble calibrating their instruments and reported that the results for Propylene glycol may be biased low. So, no major hits to report, but we can’t be confident that these samples were completely clean either. We are looking into doing further testing on this sample.
