Surfrider "State of the Beach" Sampling April 10 & 11

Join Surfrider for our State of the Beach oil sampling program.  Sunday April 10th we will be on Pensacola Beach taking samples for analysis. We will meet at 6:30 pm to inspect the beach in daylight .  UV spotting, trenching, and sample collection will begin about 30 min after dark.  The location is the last public access on the west end of Pensacola Beach, just before the gate for Ft. Pickens Park.

Monday April 11th we will do it again in Walton County.  The times are the same .  Location has been changed to allow more folks to participate.  Meet at the Dune Allen Regional access on hwy. 30-A.  This access has plenty of parking and restrooms.

We will provide UV lights, gloves, and protective glasses.  (If you have your own clear safety glasses, please bring them as we have a limited supply.)  Any polycarbonate lens will offer UV protection.  You are welcome to bring any of your oil  samples from the past year and we can inspect them under the UV light!
