Saturday, 19 September is the last weekend of summer. It should be a fun day. The Ocean Conservancy for 24 years has sponsored an international beach cleanup day. The Walton County TDC has partnered with O.C. for several years to help make this cleanup happen.
This year we will serve as site managers for the TDC. We will be set up at 5 locations in south Walton.
Miramar Beach
Dune Allen
Ed Walline
Blue Mountain
Grayton Beach
Bags, gloves and water will be provided. Participants will each receive a T shirt. We may have a van shoe giveaway for each site. Come out and clean the beach for yourself. summer is over, at least what we clean may stay that way. If we get the plastic off the beach, it won’t wind up in our ocean over the winter!
