Margo is on another of her crazy paddle events. She has done from Miami to Maine and the entire Gulf Coast. This one is much shorter than the others - just 2 days. She's attempting to paddle the length of the NJ coast - 127 miles, straight on through - as fundraiser event for Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP) and Surfrider Foundation Emerald Coast Chapter.
To raise funds, she has a tab on her website to "Sponsor a Mile" by donating to either cause. www.Miami2Maine.com. She will also be raffling off the Stand-Up Paddle Board which she is using (donated by Starboard SUP) on September 10th at the Surfrider Foundation/Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project in Brigantine. (She'll provide more details on that once the raffle tickets are printed, etc.)
As she paddles through the night - and even more so tomorrow as she continues on chugging. She left Cape May at 8:30 Monday am and will be paddling past Long Beach Island (on the bay side) overnight, and hoping to hit Sandy Hook by tomorrow afternoon (or evening).
